From The Crisis Center emerged The Ember Center, a safe haven for survivors of domestic abuse.

STRATEGY
Words became sketches, which then evolve through countless revisions.
Our goal was to ignite hope and empower change, so we designed the logo to embody an ember: a glowing, warm remnant of a fire, small but alive, holding light even after the flames have faded. It symbolizes hope, renewal, and the spark of something greater, a fresh start or the rekindling of passion, energy, and spirit.
Capturing the essence of fire for such a sensitive topic posed challenges. While the ember reflects the resilience of those we serve, the idea of fire itself could be distressing for some. Through thoughtful surveys and focus groups, we found a balanced approach that honors both strength and sensitivity.
